This training module, divided into two parts: it presents a general review of principles and good practices in quality control for personnel, validation of test methods, environment and equipment to be followed by pharmaceutical microbiology laboratories. It also covers general recommendations for the establishment, maintenance and distribution of chemical reference substances.This training module, on good practices for pharmaceutical microbiology laboratories, is divided into two parts.

It presents good practices to be followed. It does not go into the details of preparation of media, sterilization of media, testing of materials and water samples, or validation of methods.

It provides a general overview of principles to be followed in the laboratory.
